Youth Culinary Programs
It’s around the table and in the preparation of food that we learn about ourselves and about the world
– Alice Waters
Cornucopia Project’s youth cooking series, was founded on the belief that food is fundamental, not only because it sustains our bodies, but also because it can feed our spirit and our sense of community.
Our kitchen programs bring students from school gardens to the next steps along the food journey. Partnering with local professional chefs, we equip youth with the knowledge and skills to prepare nourishing foods in creative and sustainable ways alongside their peers.
Cooking Kits Are Now Available!
Warm up your kitchen this December with our Youth Cooking Kit. Designed especially for youth chefs, this kit provides everything your child needs to prepare a comforting meal for the whole family.
Each kit feeds 4 people and includes pre-portioned ingredients, simple step-by-step recipe cards, and fun extras to make cooking easy and engaging. Young chefs will get hands-on practice making a Harvest Kale Salad with Maple Vinaigrette, a hearty baked Squash Mac & Cheese, and sweet individual Mini Apple Crisps for dessert. Scholarships are available.
