Cultivating Future Generations

Empowering Youth From Farm To Table

Join us in nurturing a love for nature and healthy living through hands-on experiences at the Educational Farm.

Our Mission and Vision

The Cornucopia Project is dedicated to fostering a connection between children and the natural world through gardening and healthy eating. For 20 years we have partnered with schools and organizations to bring farm-to-table learning to life and education to the outdoors. Our goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for sustainable living, community connection, and nutritious food by engaging young minds in the wonders of nature. Through our programs, children gain a deeper understanding of where their food comes from and the importance of community and environmental stewardship. All we do is rooted in joy and  curiosity.

What to Expect this Summer

Farm Life

Each day begins with immersive experiences on our educational farm. Young Farmers learn essential organic farming techniques, including seeding, transplanting, and harvesting, while working alongside experienced student farmers.

Culinary Adventures

As lunchtime approaches, campers harvest fresh produce to create delicious snacks or meals. On Thursdays, they collaborate to prepare a farm-to-table feast in our outdoor kitchen, using locally sourced ingredients.

Creative Projects

Afternoons are filled with exciting nature-based art projects. Campers cool off while crafting botanical soaps, garden chia pets, and pressed flower lanterns, fostering creativity and environmental awareness.

Common Questions About Young Farmers Summer Program

We’ve compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for our summer program. From what to pack to understanding our pick-up and drop-off procedures, we’ve got you covered. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us!

What should my child bring?

Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water each day. While we provide a farm-to-table snack, it is likely not enough for the activity level of the day. Additionally, youth should wear closed-toe shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor activities, including a hat and sunscreen, any needed emergency supplies.

What are the pick-up and drop-off times?

Drop-off is between 8:30 and 9:00 AM at our Educational Farm entrance. Pick-up is at 4:00 PM at our nearby headquarters. An extended day program is available until 5PM.

How can I apply for a scholarship?

Scholarships are available on a no-questions-asked basis. Simply select the scholarship option that best suits your needs during the online registration process. We believe in making our camp accessible to all families.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Our program activities are primarily outdoors, so it’s important for all to be prepared for various weather conditions. In case of severe weather, such as thunderstorms, we may cancel outdoor activities for the day to ensure everyone’s safety, and relocate to our headquarters for indoor activities.

Are there accommodations for special needs?

Yes, we accommodate all children. Please contact us with any specific information or requests, and we will all we can to ensure an excellet experience for your child.
