FAQ
What should I pack for lunch?
Please pack a lunch and snacks for your child(ren) each day. We make a farm-to-table snack, but it is only a tasting. Children should also bring plenty of water.
What is the Pick-up/Drop-off procedure?
  • Drop-off: Drop your child off at our Educational Farm at 9:00 AM for the morning gathering.
  • Pick-up: Pick up your child at 4:00 PM at the Farm unless otherwise specified. In case of hot weather, we will move to our office location across the street at 166 Hancock Rd.
  • Students will sign in at the beginning of the day, and a guardian must sign them out at the end.
How do I qualify for a scholarship?
Our scholarships are offered on a no-questions-asked basis. There is no need to qualify. Simply select the scholarship option during registration.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Since we’ll be outdoors most of the day, and New England weather can be unpredictable, please make sure your child is prepared for all conditions. In the event of severe thunderstorms, power outages, or extreme weather events, we may cancel that day’s activities.
What should my child wear?
Please have your child wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. It’s a good idea to pack layers and a spare set of clothes, as we may get wet during activities like playing with the garden hose sprinkler.
Are special accommodations available?
Yes! We’re here to support you. Please email Olivia@cornucopiaproject.org with any specific questions or accommodation requests regarding your registration.
What is the daily schedule?
The day begins with drop-off at 9:00 AM at the farm entrance. Mornings are spent working on the farm, learning organic farming tasks like seeding, transplanting, and harvesting.
As lunchtime approaches, students harvest ripe fruits and vegetables from the farm, then prepare snacks using local ingredients. On Thursdays, students cook a farm-to-table meal using our outdoor kitchen. Lunch is picnic-style.
In the afternoons, students get crafty, go on hikes, play games, and more. If it is too hot, we will move to our headquarters to continue the fun. Pick-up is at 4:00 PM. After care is available.
Where are the farm and office located?
The farm is located at the corner of Vose Farm Road and Route 202. Parking is available across the road from SoClean (formerly the EMS store).
How large are the groups each day?
Each session accommodates 10-15 students.
Can I sign up for more than one session?
Absolutely! Feel free to sign up for multiple sessions. Each week brings new adventures!
