Winter Squash, Musquee de Provence

Heirloom. Also known as Fairytale. Beautiful ribbed squash is in the butternut group, with deep orange edible flesh and skin that turns from deep green to a fantastic bronze, often with streaks and patches of deep green remaining. Fruits can weigh 15-25lbs. Cut in wedges and roast. Also great as a decorative if not fully mature. Needs full sun and fertility to ripen. A 30lb fruit harvested in October of 2021 was still good to eat the following June. Full vine.
