Plant Families and Friends

Learn about the 10-12 plant families that comprise most of the world’s foodstuffs and the characteristics that make those plants unique. We’ll discuss the importance of crop rotation in gardens and how some crop families can improve soil quality or decrease the incidence of disease and pests. There will be a walking tour of the gardens with group discussion and board time.
